SHIFT is built to need as little of your data as possible. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of our own. This page explains the little that is collected and why.
What we collect
Two things, both through RevenueCat, our payments provider, and both only so purchases work:
- User ID — the identifier Sign in with Apple gives us for your account. It lets us recognise what you have bought so it can be restored on your other devices.
- Purchase History — which items you have purchased in the app.
Both are linked to your identity. Neither is used for tracking, and neither is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
What stays on your device
- Your display name from Sign in with Apple, stored on your device and in your own private iCloud, which we cannot read.
- Your progress, coins, cosmetics and settings.
- Everything you type during a game — your answers and any custom themes. These travel directly between the devices at your table over the local network and never reach us or any server. We do not store, read or moderate them.
What we do not do
- No analytics or telemetry of any kind.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No third-party services beyond Apple and RevenueCat.
Children
SHIFT is a party game played with people you know. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Players type free text that others at the same table can read; it stays on those devices and is never published.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time in Settings › Delete account. This removes your profile and wipes the data stored on the device.
- Revoke Sign in with Apple in iOS Settings › your name › Sign in with Apple.
- Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are kept as long as required for billing and support.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
